Pinspotting & Accent Lighting

Your florist spent hours on those centerpieces. Guests should be able to see them.

Your Needs, Our Craft

Pinspotting is the professional's secret: a narrow, focused beam of light aimed at exactly one thing. A centerpiece, a wedding cake, a sculpture, an escort-card table. In a dim, atmospheric room, pinspots are what make the details glow like they're lit from within.

It's the difference guests can't name but always feel. The room reads dim and romantic, yet every table's florals are luminous, every focal point pops in photographs, and the money spent on décor actually shows.

Since 2017

Aimed by hand, table by table

Pinspotting is precision work. After the florist finishes each table, our technicians aim and focus every beam by hand so the light lands on flowers, not on plates and not in guests' eyes. Beam edges are softened so tables glow naturally instead of looking like museum exhibits.

We schedule this in the final hour before doors, in step with your planner's timeline, and we're experienced at working quietly alongside florists, caterers, and venue staff during the busiest part of load-in.

The photography multiplier

Photographers consistently tell clients the same thing: pinspotted rooms photograph dramatically better. Camera sensors love contrast, and luminous centerpieces against a softly lit room deliver it. The photos your client, company, or family keeps forever are the real deliverable of any event.

Imagine walking into your venue and seeing exactly the room you pictured, only warmer, grander, and more alive.

That confidence is why planners, venues, and hosts across Southern California call Candlelight Designs, Inc., and why most of our work comes from referrals.

Pinspotting & Accent: Questions We Hear Often

How are pinspots mounted?

Wherever the venue allows: clamped to ceiling beams or catwalks, mounted on discreet stands, or magnet-mounted where structure permits. During our venue review we'll confirm the cleanest rigging method. We carry options for all of them.

Do you coordinate with our florist?

Always. Final aiming happens after the tables are fully set, and we build that step into the load-in timeline with your planner and florist so nobody is waiting on anybody.

Is pinspotting worth it for a smaller event?

Often more so. With 10 to 15 tables, pinspotting plus soft uplighting can be the entire design, and it reads as far more expensive than it is. Ask us for a combined quote.
